Double Filtering If a certain piece of telephone equipment is causing noise problems try replacing the filter or try double filtering. How to connect your filters with noise issues

If neither method works try plugging your filter and modem/router into the BT/Openreach test port.
Micro-filters are designed to prevent the ADSL signal from interfering with Telephone Equipment. Filters, not always being perfect can pass a low level residual ADSL signal through them. This can cause abnormal operation to Telephone Equipment that are particularly sensitive and in some cases cause back-ground noise.
A well used technique which helps prevent this is by Double filtering. Using this method further filters the ADSL signal by passing it through two filters before it reaches your telephone equipment.
